Source: Caltrans, Lane Closure System report, District 4 · checked Oct 15, 2026

I-80 at Tennessee Street, Vallejo

Caltrans has scheduled closures of the westbound Interstate 80 ramps at Tennessee Street in Vallejo, according to the state's lane-closure schedule. The off-ramp is listed to close Friday, October 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for electrical work. Both westbound ramps then have daytime and overnight closures from Monday, October 19, to the early hours of Saturday, October 24.

Which ramps

  • **Westbound off-ramp:** the exit from westbound I-80 onto Tennessee Street. Caltrans lists it fully closed during each window for electrical work.
  • **Westbound on-ramp:** the entrance from Tennessee Street onto westbound I-80. Caltrans lists it fully closed during separate windows for installing K-rail, a concrete traffic barrier.

Off-ramp closures

All times are Pacific.

  • **Friday, October 16:** 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • **Monday, October 19, to Friday, October 23:** 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, then 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning

On-ramp closures

  • **Monday, October 19, to Friday, October 23:** 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, then 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning

Tennessee Street

From October 19 to 23, the schedule also lists one lane and the right shoulder of Tennessee Street closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The work zone runs from Mariposa Street to the end of the westbound off-ramp.

Before you drive

These are planned windows that Caltrans has approved in its lane-closure system. They can change or be canceled. Caltrans changed this schedule at least once on October 15, removing two overnight off-ramp closures. A listed window does not show that the work took place. The schedule does not list a detour. Check Caltrans' lane-closure schedule at lcsreports.dot.ca.gov, or QuickMap at quickmap.dot.ca.gov, on the day you travel.

What we don't know

The schedule gives the type of work but not the larger project it belongs to. We will check whether the closures went ahead.
