Vallejo sewer charge rises 6% to $1,240 a year

Vallejo's sewer service charge rose 6% on July 1, to $1,240.56 a year ($103.38 a month) for each home, apartment, condo or mobile-home unit, according to the Vallejo Flood and Wastewater District. The charge was $1,170.24 in the 2025-26 tax year and $1,017.60 the year before. It is collected on the property tax bill, along with smaller storm-drain and sewer-lateral charges that did not change this year. The increase follows a five-year rate schedule the district's board approved in 2023; a June 23 staff report recommended adopting the 2026-27 rates, and the district's website lists them as set for this tax year. The board's June 23 minutes, which would record the vote, have not been posted. Property owners eligible for PG&E's CARE program can apply for the district's 17.5% reduced rate, which brings the sewer charge to $1,023.48 a year.
